PLEASE HELP OUT ON MY FIRST NAME?

Hi,

I am a female who was born in Australia. My mother chose the name from a t.v actress because she loved it and isn't sure of the origin.
I have been searching high and low on the web for the true meaning of my name - only could find it as the name of a village (Bali) or Uni etc but not the meaning of the actual name.

No idea, but as a guess: girls named May get called Maisie; perhaps Jasi was just a nice, zingy, cheerful nickname for someone called Joan or Judith?

That is, if you pronounce it Jay-zi. If it's Jazzi, then it's either from Jasmine or the music! Nice one, either way.
