Does anyone know the roots for Shizuka?
It's Japanese; I've seen it used as a given name by a female, but it could well be a surname as well...

I think it means 'quiet' I think, as shizukanishite means 'be quiet'.

It may be a variant of Chizuko, "child of a thousand storks"

If you can find out what the kanji is for the name, it'll be a bit easier to find out what it is.
