How are they pronounced please?
Itxaropena: ee-tchah-roh-PEH-nah (note that in Basque the difference of stressed syllable and last syllable are softer that in Spanish, for instance, and the stress system ressembles more to Spanish pronunciation of the word "sino".)
Itxaro: ee-TCHAH-roh.
Espe: ehs-PEH
Itxaro: ee-TCHAH-roh.
Espe: ehs-PEH
Thank you! Not as complicated as it looks then :)
I just sent a mail to a native Basque speaker asking her how to pronounce exactly these names in reference to the stressed syllable. If there are some differences with my answer, I will post here.

On the front page or in the top right, click "search meanings" and enter "hope".
I have one more that is not already on BtN, albeit a somewhat minor one:
Shpresa, female, Albanian, from the Albanian everyday word shpresë simply meaning "hope".
