can anyone tell me whats the meaning of shiraz?

i know that in hebrew it means "secret song".. but does anyone know about any other meaning?

i aslo know that its a persian name but i dont know what does it mean in persian..

im due every day and id like to name my babygirl shiraz but first i wanna know what it means..

The Complete Book of Muslim & Parsi Names by Maneka Gandhi & Osair Husain says that Shiraz originally meant "curdled whey" or "cheese" in Persian. But it is best known as the name of a famous city in Iran.

I know it as a variety of grape from which red wine is made. Perhaps not the ideal start to a child's life!
