does anyone know what does the name Pleshette mean and where did it orgiante? What is the language of origin?

It's not very exciting I'm afraid. The name was Pleshet, invented by a family of Russian immigrants in, I guess, the late 1800's when they arrived in New York. No record of their Russian name that I can find.
Then the children were teased at school, so the final "te" was added to make Pleshette as it is today.
