I'm in Costa Rica and someone I know has a daughter named Mireya. Some souces say it means 'miraculous', others rever to 'La Rubia Mireya" a legend inspired by a long poem of Frederic Mistral from Provence.Supposed to be the inspiration for the tango and legends about dancers. Also used as a nickname by dancers. I also found that when the name Miirelle went to Argentina it became 'Miry"
