Could anyone tell me the origin and meaning of the name Ashana? I think it may have connections to Alaska.

I have always known it to be Athabascan, Alaskan Native People meaning Wildflower/Flower.

Possibly from the Dena'ina language. There is a lake by this name.

According to a government site of Taiwan (don't know the reliability, but the fact that it is .gov gives some indication that it isn't totally false), the word Ashana in the Rukkai language means "beautiful valley."
