I am not the person who made the original posting. However, in the book _Digest of Muslim Names_ by Fatimah Suzanne Al Ja'fari, the name "Khâlisah" is said to mean "clear, pure". There are dots underneath the K and s which I don't know how to type.
The "Kh" would probably mean that the initial sound of the Arabic name is not found in English, but is one of the sounds heard in German words like "ich" or "ach", which are breathy consonant sounds that sometimes sound to English speakers like someone is clearing their throat.

This is actually my name. I was told by an Arab man that my name actually means "faithful, woman of God". I have taken it to translate as "Faith" in English.
And yes, i pronounce it with the "ach" sound, with an accent on the first 'a' ("ah").

خالص Khalis means pure in Arabic. It's hard to see how even a related word could mean "woman of God", but Khalas is a verb that means "clean/redeem/clear" and also "keep faith".
I once heard that there are five different kh-sounds in Arabic, some closer to an H, others harder. But I can't confirm this, as I have never heard anyone pronounce them.
Because of the elements, sound, and spellings.
Etymology, that is.
