Missing name

My wife's name is Vanda which wasn't found in the English list. When I did a search it came up as a variation of Wanda, however, I believe it comes from Singapore from a type of orchid.A very interesting site, thank you.

I note that there was a reply from Robert Stothard dated 25 Sep 03. I haven't visited this site for a while, if he was known as 'Kate' at one time, he will know who I am and I would like to hear from him.

Yes. I'm also sure that Vanda could be spelt many ways; Vanda, Wanda, Banda, Banta, Zhanda, Zhanta. . .
