WHAT WAS IT BEFORE?
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW, WHAT WAS AMERICA CALLED BY THE NATIVES WHO LIVED HERE PRIOR TO THE THE BRITISH CALLING IT AMERICA?

No doubt each bit of America, which is large, had its own name, given it by its own indigenous inhabitants.
Indeed it was, especially since there were around 550 different languages spoken here before the decimation of many tribes/villages...
but this is a bit off-topic and I don't have the notes from my American Indian history pre-1880 notes in front of me and I don't have the professor who taught it in front of me, either.
One translation that I've encountered comes out as "Turtle Island", but that was just two or three tribal distinctions for it (I think.) It was either for North America or for planet Earth itself. :)
