have been looking all over the internet for the meaning and/or origin of the surname Capello. I can't find it anywhere, also would like to find the Coat Of Arms for this surname. Know it is Italian as my husbands great grandfather came from Italy.Any suggestions where to look or anyone know what the surname means?

The Italian word "capello" literally means "hair", although as an occupational surname most frequently found in the south of Italy, "Capello" refers to a maker and seller of hats or cloaks. The Italian word "cappello" (note the double "p") means "hat". There are regions of Italy which still maintain their own dialect, as Italy for many centuries was a country of separate kingdoms.
As an Italian, you should be familiar with cappelletti soup. The cappelletti pasta found in the soup is in the shape of "little hats" (which is what "cappelletti" means).
