Greetings Mr. Mike, My name is Guesnerth Joshua Perea, I have been able to find the meaning of my second name on your web site but I havent been able to find the meaning of my first. My first name is Guesnerth, all i know is that its root is German/Austrian but I havent been able to find a meaning, I would highly appreciate it if you could shed some light on my name. Thank You!

In fact, I'm fairly sure there's a similar name in my thesis.
The name would be Gwasnerth, from gwas 'lad' + nerth 'strength'.
Nerth appears in other early Welsh names such as Idnerth, Dyfnerth; so does gwas - Gwasdewi, Tegwas etc.
Celtic studies were (and still are) very popular in Germany - perhaps that could be the origin of your name.
