On southern plantations in the U.S. back in the days before the Civil War and when slavery was in existence, plantation owners would often whimsically give their slaves names from the bible, mythology, and ancient history. One very popular plantation name was "Rastus", which was derived from the biblical name "Erastus".But I doubt that has any connection to your g g g grandfather.Just a bit of trivia I thought I'd provide.-- Nanaea
