anyone know the person or meaning and history behind the native american name, "Natoma" ?? I know its a hotel and a lake in CA. already,, but want the true stuff behind the name..I also know that the native american person in the old school show, "Grizzly Adams" is named Natoma too.......

"Natomas" is a Maidu word meaning "north" or "upstream.

natoma is a lake in california, and the name is native american
