The Gaelic pronunciation is something like "nee-av", but "neeve" is also a modern pronunciation (and spelling).

My Irish friend pronounces is Neeve, as in "sleeve" with an "n"

Thanks a bunch - I was watching TV and it was pronounced like Liam with an N.... and her name was printed on the screen and Niamh so I wondered.

That was definitely wrong. The "mh" is (or at least should be) pronounced as a "v"
