We spent the day in the mountains of Arcadia, and did it the old way: We dug a hole in the ground, rigged a manual skewering device, fired the coals, and barbequed the heck out of the goat -- much much tastier than lamb, and half the cholesterol :P

I had oven roasted lamb chops that turned out really good, but produced enough smoke to turn the smoke detector on. Damn American smoke detectors! At least my boyfriend got a kick out of the whole situation =o). Now, can a non-orthodox Easter be so much fun?
I am having a southern Californian post-Easter dinner tonight - lamb quesadillas =o) (no sound effects this time).
