there are two possible meanings for this name:
1) "Coming from the town Weimar" (there's one in Thuringia, East Germany, and one in Hesse, West Germany)
2) A surname deriving from one of these Old German first names:
a) Winmar: friend + famous
b) Wigmar: battle + famous
