I have a distant ancestor who was raised in a French foundling home, and had the second name Finheude (baptised before being abandoned). Since abandoned children weren't usually given surnames I'm assuming Finheude is a second given name, maybe a feminine form of the very rare male name Heude? Has anyone else come across this name before?
