I would like to find the meaning, and/or language the first name of "Dorsey" was derived from. It is the name of a Haitian male. French-Creole is the first language spoken. French and African language searches found nothing on this name. I have tried all other language possibilities and haven't found any correlations.

Can someone help me find the meaning/derivatives, of the name "Dorsey"?

Dorsey is from the French surname d’Orsey, as in the d'Orsey Museum in Paris (http://www.musee-orsay.fr:8081/ORSAY/orsaygb/HTML.NSF/By+Filename/mosimple+index?OpenDocument). D’Orsey means "Of Orsey". Orsey is derived from the "ours", meaning bear (the animal) in French, and is derived from the Latin Ursus. Hope you find my interpretation not too unbearable, pun intended.
