Hi. I don't really know which board I should be posting this message on so I'm gonna post on both.

I am writing a story about a thirteen year old girl who is self-inflictive. The girl is shy, quiet, but very intelligent, and secretive about her cutting. The problem? I can't get a name that would fit her!!!
Any suggestions would be gr8.

You should be on the Opinions board. However, goodness knows what you'll find there.
Why not try reading down the popularity lists (elsewhere on this site) for the year of her birth? Her parents didn't know she was going to grow up to slice bits off herself in moments of madness, so they would have given her a name they just liked at the time. If it doesn't fit her later character, how were they to know at the time? Just _name_ the lassie - name her Gertrude or Gloria if necessary - and get on with the story.

Something like Tomy would do, as it is the suffix for many terms regarding cutting such as cystotomy, dichotomy, lithotomy, mastectomy, phlebotomy, thymotomy, tracheotomy, zootomy, etc.
