Maalicht . . .
Maalicht is definitely not Celtic or Irish (I have also done linguistics and I can't see how this could possibly look Celtic, sorry).A quick Google search turned up mentions of the word maalicht on half-a-dozen Dutch sites. 'Licht' is 'light' in Dutch, but I haven't been able to decipher the meaning of the whole word. Perhaps one of our Dutch posters will be able to contribute more.

Hi Chrisell and A. Jay,Those google-matches seem to be typos. Maanlicht (with an N in the middle of the word) means moonlight in Dutch./ Satu
