I have no clue what my name, which is Japanese, means. Can anyone help me? The closest I can guess is that it means autumn flower, hana meaning flower and aki meaning autumn. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Hanaki means "flower tree". It is spelled with the kanji 花 (hana meaning flower) and 木 (ki meaning wood or tree). Hope I helped!

It "may" be spelled that way. Japanese are very creative in the spelling of names. Any combination of Hiragana, katakana or kanji that may be read as or interpreted as meaning "hanaki" will be recorded, no matter what the literal meaning or regular pronunciation, as this is the equivalent of someone's "signature". The meaning will be in reference to the Ume (the so-called plum blossom, though not really a plum), or the Sakura (the so-called cherry blossom, not really a cherry, but actually any of a number of flowering trees in the Prunus family native to Japan, and also a popular name), which at different times have been the dominant "flowering tree" in Japanese culture.

Actually, the best way to figure out what Hanaki means is to find out how to write your name in Kanji (the Chinese characters). From a fellow "Hanaki", I write my name with the two characters Hana (flower) and ki (tree). Ergo, Hanaki means Flower Tree.
Perhaps there are other ways to write the name in Kanji to have it sound like "Hanaki", (for example, hana also means nose, but Nose Tree just doesn't sound too good does it?) but Flower Tree is the only meaning that I know of.

I'd also assume "autumn flower". That seems most logical, and very pretty, anyway. If you'd like another (much less-likely) idea, it might be a misspelled form of Hanako, which means "flower child".
