ATTN Narinoc (or anyone else familiar with Hungarian names) . . .
Hi,
I was wondering - is there a Hungarian cognate for the name Jessica? It's one of the few common English names that I couldn't easily find an equivalent for on the Hungarian names website.
Thanks :-)

Some names like Jessica that are very popular in English are used in other countries either spelled different and pronounced with local accent or spelled the same and pronounced with a local accent.
Er, yes, I knew that, that's why I was asking for the Hungarian version.

Nevermind, I found it . . .
Dzsesszika. How does one pronounce that?

My guess is . . .
just like Jessica.
From my limited knowledge of Hungarian pronunciation:
"sz"= s as in Sam,
"zs" = zh as in the French Jean
"dz"="dzs" = j as in Jessica
Only, are you sure that it's "Dzsesszika" and not "Dzseszika"?

Yes, I'm sure about the spelling, I copied and pasted it directly from the official Hungarian names webpage. Here's the link:
