Hi! this is my only hope! I've looked everywhere for the meaning of this name. Belquiz is the name, I don't know if her ethnicity would help in the meaning and/or origin. She's Colombian and Ecuadorian. Any help would be sooooo useful and appreciated... I'm trying to doa Xmas gift thing using ehr name and this info would be helpful!

Hi there - My mother's name is Bilquis. (Pronounced Billkeese -the 'keese' rhymes with geese). This is Arabic in origin and believed to be the name of the Queen of Sheba. I believe that there is a Hebrew version of the name pronounced in the same way but spelled Balkeez.

I dont believe that there is a meaning for the name. Just that it was the name of the Queen of Sheba.
