Re: Does anyone know the meaning of this name?

My best guess is that it is a feminine version of Lyall.
Lyall (M.) Scottish: transferred use of a surname, which is probably derived from the Old Norse personal name "Liulfe," of which the first element is obscure. The sceond is cleary Old Norse "ulfr" wolf.
