Allah does means G-d in Arabic. Its Hebrew form is "El". Ela would be goddess. It is only seen in treatises about idolatry, for obvious reasons lol - for example to describe the Egyptian cult, we would have to talk about the god Osiris (User ha el) & the goddess Isis (Aset ha ela).
El Alamein, situated in North Africa, is an Arabic name apparently meaning "two worlds". Which is very cool imo. :)
