Hi There!
My greatgrondmother was siksika and I'm really interested in babynames - so I thought I'd find out about the names they use but I can't find ANYTHING!

Hmmm - a bit obscure, even for us. Here's the best I can do, altho someone else on the site might be more help.
The Siksika are an Alberta-based tribe of the Blackfeet Indian Confederacy, but there's not much on the Web for them as far as contact info. Their website at www.siksikanation.com is fairly minimal.
You may want to check the site of the Pikuni branch of the Blackfeet, who have a big reservation in northwest Montana. They have a fairly comprehensive website at www.blackfeetnation.com. The language of the Siksika and Pikuni should be the same when it comes to name meaning, and someone at the tribal offices should be able to help you.
Try the Cultural Department listed on their website under "tribal organization". There's contact names and phone numbers. Good luck!
