No every name has a meaning but maybe Darleen?Sometimes the meaning is forgotten and sometimes people make up names just b/c they like the sound of it.My first thought was that it was a variant of Darleen.
Can you prove that? And if I said that it comes from Magdalene and therefore means Woman From The Town Of Magdala, could you prove me wrong? No ... ? Thought not.Incidentally, your derivation simply couldn't work etymologically.
