Does anyone know the origin and meaning of the name Rohini. It's a female Indian name, the meaning of which is under much debate in my family.

I couldn't find your name. Maybe it's a version of the Indian name Rohana? I found two different meanings:
1) ascending
2) sandal(wood)

I am Rahul. I have a little sister with the name Rohini.
I am a pupil of a primary school in Leeuwarden (Netherlands). I am 9 years old and I make a short history of my self and my family. Also a short history of the town in where I live.
