Hello,
I added a couple of new persons to my family tree today (genealogy is my hobby) and one of those persons carried the name Berthilia. It was a (Dutch) woman, obviously. I've never come across this name before and I wonder what it means. And of what origin is it? I suspect it's of Germanic origin, because one can find 'bert' in it (which means 'bright'). Plus it quite resembles the name Odilia, which in turn is a Germanic name as well.
Does anyone know more about this name?
