OMG! A child named Goof?!?!?!
Unbelieveable!
Today, I read in a birth ad that a boy with the name Goof (ring any bells?) had been born. That's just too crazy, the boy will get teased all his life! Poor little boy... *shakes head*
Is it just me, or do the parents of nowadays seem to be loosing their minds?!?!

Is there any hope that it might be a typo for Geoff?
Well....I know a "Goof", but it was chosen by himself (that makes all the difference) as a nickname for "Godfrey". (He's a rather eccentric artist).
Oh, I can hear the teasing already! Yes, parent's are losing their minds. I suggest as soon as couples find out they're expecting a baby, they take a special naming class, consisting of the "do's and don'ts of naming." Before you know it, Moron will be a popular name!
i agree!!!!! what about the name: Stupid or Dumbo or who knows what!!!!! Choosing the name Goof for yourself is one thing but choosing it for you kid, you're just asking for trouble!!!! maybe there should be a class for naming.......
Well, in some other countries parents name their kids "Ugly" etc. so the spirits won't steal them...
Well, if its in your country or customs, i'm like okay with that. But if that child is in the US. I think he'll get picked on. But yeah i know what you mean!!! i forgot that when i was typing. trying to get over the shook of Goof.
