I believe I have an unusual name to most, but if you think of it...it's just two very common names slaped together. I tell/explain to people it was an argument between grandmothers. Gloria (dad's mom) and Virgilee (mom's mom). I love my name dispite all the frustation on how people pronounce it and how they choose to spell it. You would not believe what I have been called (GloriaLee, Gloria, GrendaLee) or how it has been written out.
Although I have never met another or seen another Glorilee, I would like to hope that the world is blessed with a few more of us, and that I am not the only one that has to chuckle at all the "misunderstandings" associated with an "unusual name".
