i am trying to find out what the meaning is in the name kenny. i visited a church and the bishop had a word from God for anyone named kenny and there were three african american men whom's names were kenny. after the bishop spoke into their lives, all three of them testified that the word spoken into their lives was an accurate word and they knew that it came from God.
i was wondering what's behind or the meaning in the name kenny that the Lord called upon them. this has been my homework assignment given to me by the same bishop that spoke. so, any information you can give me would be most appreicated.
also i am an african american woman and my name is gwen / gwendolyn, i would like to also know the meaning of my name.

Most church ministers tell people what they think they need to know or would like to hear. So the meaning is in the minister, not the name.
Also, you can't expect them to know everything; one told my aunt once that her grandson's name meant Beloved. She was delighted. It means no such thing, but I didn't put her right either!
