What do the last names "Bauer" and "Storm" mean and what are their countries of origin? Someone please help!

Origin of Novack LAST name?

I am trying to find the country of origin for the name "Novack." I am sure it was derived from "Novak" but am unclear as to where that name came from. I have heard it is Eastern European. Any help?

Bauer is German for "farmer". Storm is English w/ the same origin as the German equivalent "Sturm".

Storm can be German too. A famous bearer of this name was 19th century writer Theodor Storm from the town of Husum in Northern Germany.

My guess would be that Bauer is German and Stone is English - but I'm guessing so don't take my word on that.
