I need a semi-modern sounding male name that means exactly "death". Anyone fluent in other languages, perhaps?

Well, using surnames as first names is semi-modern, so why not go that route and use De'Ath? Pronunciation is Dee-ahth, if you see what I mean, unless you're Lord Peter Wimsey in which case it's Deeth (to rhyme with teeth).

Well... these are not names but words in other languages meaning death that could perhaps sound ok as first names: Mort (French), Död (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish), Kuolema (Finnish).
