How could we decide the short form of a name? I've heard people calling 'Veronica' as 'Veron'.

Hey. So strange. It seems that there's an enterprise (?) named 'Ronica'. Does anyone know anything about it?
Also, there's a band called 'Ronica and the blazing stars...'
