Brigid is the normal Irish way to spell the name. Bridget is the Swedish spelling, although I don't think it's very common in Sweden (don't quote me, but I think they use Birgit more). I've seen the spellings Bridgid and Brigit, but these look really strange to me. Brigid and Bridget are the most normal, accepted spellings, but you could probably spell it anyway your little heart desired! (Bhrijjidd etc.)

There are many ways to spell Bridgit.
But I prefer the spelling of Bridgit like this "Bridget."
Why, it is so simple to spell.

..but you can shorten it to "Bridey" or "Bridie" Procnounced Bri dee
