The surname Raemer comes from Germany (Prussia). In my Raemer family I have only seen Raemer used as a boys given name to carry the family name in a female line. We do not have any girls with the given name Raemer.

I could only find the spelling Raemar, but don't the meaning

Closest I can get is Rhema - there's a huge charismatic church where I live called the Rhema Church, and they say that it's Greek for: that which is said, in other words, the Word! Might have happened in presbyterian Scotland too.
