Hi,
I'm writing a fantasy story, and I need a female name. My character is a vampire, and I need a dark, somewhat deep meaningful name for her, not something bubbly, light and cheerleader-y.
I've been looking everywhere, and I can't find many names that I want. I'd like the name to have one of these meanings::
Blood/ Bleed/ Bleeding etc or variations such as Bleeding heart, river of blood, etc ~~~ This especially
Night ~~~ This especially
Shadow
Hunt/ Hunter/ Hunting ~~~This especially
Destroyer/ Destroy
Destruction
Weapon
Sword/ knife
Death/ dying
Resurretion/ reborn/ rebirth
One name I'd thought of is Amaya Katena, meaning 'night' and a mis-spelling of Katana, a Japanese sword. What are your opinions on this?

how about Amareya?

why not just make up a name? I write fantasy too, and that's the most fun part. Personally, I like harsh sounding names like Chazha or Khijharu for a character like that. Jsut go crazy and have fun with the name. The meaning doesn't matter as much as the implication, if you get my point. Good luck!
