Neola
Does anyone know anything about the name Neola? I found, through various searches, that it's female, Greek, means "new," and is pronounced as Neo-Lah.
True or false? Thanks!

I know the pronounciation is correct, or at least that's how my great aunt pronounces it!
Neos means "new" in Greek, but I believe it's a masculine word. Also, I'm unaware of how the -la got attached. Perhaps the -la's simply a meaningless prefix a la Kayla.
I would guess that the more proper feminine form of neos would be Nea, but I'm completely unsure of that.
