I am trying to find the meaning of the origin of my daughters name. If you know the emaning of GIOVANNA please email. i am naming her Giavanna. But i would like to know the meaning of the original name.

It means Jane. Or Joan, or Jean! It's Italian, the feminine form of Giovanni which is Italian for John.
Why give her a peculiar spelling when you could give her a real one with real history behind it? Seems odd to me - I'd love to hear your reason.
