I've been looking for my name to discover the meaning of it everywhere, but I cannot find it anywhere! My name is Dishan and the name was taken out of the old testament of the bible (Genesis to be exact). If anyone has heard of this name or knows of a website that could be of help to me,please E-mail me. I'd really appreciate it. I hope to hear from someone soon. Thanks a lot!

Dishan - two options for you
1. "Dishan" means "fertile" or "to fertilize".
2. Another option: if you checked that chapter in Genesis you saw that Dishan's brother was called "Dishon". Dishon, apart from "fertilize", is also a name of an animal that used to live there at those times.
In my dictionary it's translated to: "antelope, addax".
The word "Dishon" in this meaning (the animal) also appears in another place in the Old Testament (Deuteronomy 14:5). In the English version it is "antelope", but in Hebrew it's "Dishon".
So "Dishan" may also mean the same.
