I have found a branch of my family listed in the 1850 Federal Census.
An adult male emigrated to the USA and appears to be living in this household. I belive this individual may be my ancestor. However, I can not find this given name again. I belive he may have "Americanized" his name. There is an individual named "Joseph" in the same city some 30 years later? Can someone give me any suggestions?
The name appears to be: Follanden (?) or Follenden
The individual is a German Male (B. 1827)
