"Hanae" means "Blossom-branch", "Branch of blossoms". The Japanese word "Hana" means "blossom". The "e" is a feminine suffix which, depending on how the actual Japanese character is written, may denote either "branch" or "bay; inlet", or sometimes "river". Attached to "Hana", though, it's more likely that this suffix denotes "branch".
