Archivesi can't find the origin of my name and it's meaning
I have been looking for the meaning of my names for years . Im a was born in California but my my ethic orgin is Latin to be specific is half El Salvadorian and half Honduranian for Centro America and im a female. I would really be gratefull i f you have a better chance in finding my name " Yahaira" (ya-hi-ra)

I've been looking for the meaning of my name but can't seem to find it ANYWHERE! I really would like to know what my name means. My name is "Yahaira", people pronounced it differently so I really dont know how you pronounce it. I would be thankful if you by any chance know what it means and if you dont well, its ok. Thanks

According to a religious site (http://www.latinodawah.org/newsletter/jan2k2newletter.html) Yahaira is an Islamic name that was introduced to Spain via the Moors.
If so, Yahaira could be related to Jawahir.

I was told that the meaning of "yahaira" was Ruler, but i'm not 100% sure about that. I was also told that it came from an indian tribe and that it was spelled Jahaira

yahaira means "given from God" and is not an islamic name is a taino(native people before columbus) name from central america my daughter's name is also yahaira
