Genfr
I have located the name GENFR in the 1891 Census in Ontario Canada. I have no clue as to this name and would love to know the real name, as I am assuming that the census taker used either an abbreviation or a misspelling. The heritage is English or Welsh and German. This man was the second of 5 sons to a man with the surname Smith. Any suggestions would be appreciated, as I am stumped.Thank you. J

If this is the actual real name, i would say it's Welsh. It looks welsh at least. I will try to look up some welsh name-sites and see if I can confirm this.
Gosh. It couldn't be Jean-Francois, I suppose? What are the siblings' names?
