JANIRA/JANEIRA/YANIRA - HELP!!!
Hi there!I have a girl in my kindergarden class who's called JANIRA (prn. yah-nee-rah) - i LOVE that name!I do know that her mother is from Spain and the name seems to be Latin. Saw different spellings...(Yanira, Janeira, Janira) and she used JANIRA.Where does the name really come from and what does it Mean?!I hope you can help me!

I seen that some say its from Africa and it means Gift from God. In one moment i was told that it comes from the Hebrew John. Which means God is gralacious. And most hispanics spell it Yanira...but I spell it Janira and i have seen many do the same.
