Does someone know what Chaka means?
It is a girl's name, and as far as I know it is French. I'd really like to know what this means.

Chaka was an African king (Zulu)

Great King, eh? How imaginative! It actually means dysmenorrhoea caused by an intestinal parasite.
Reason was, his mother fell pregnant as a result of an affair with the then king of the Zulu, and had to leave in disgrace; when the cause of her lack of menstruation was born, his nickname became Shaka = the parasite aforesaid.
I do hope this has got nothing to do with Chaka! (If it was French, I'd expect the same sound in both halves, like Fifi or Chouchou. But my French is sadly limited ...)

Anneza's right, altho I didn't know it was called "dysmenorrhoea." Nice bit of detective work!
Sorry, Daividh and others - it isn't! It's amenorrhoea, which is the exact opposite. Anyway, the fact remains that when the poor little lad got the name he was neither a king nor great.
Doesn't sound French, although my command of the language is shaky at best. Why do you think it's French?
I doubt if it's French, an Asian character in the Australian series ''Heartbreak High'' had this name, so I prefer to think it's an Asian name instead of a French name.
