I know this is a "mountain" name but I was wondering is it simply Kin-thos or is it pronounced differently.

It is KINthos, the name of a mountain in the island of Delos where
Apollo
and
Artemis
were birn. The name
Cynthia
("from Kynthos") is related. Kynthos itself is most probably derived from "kynthano" meaning "to hide, to cover up".
