my friends last name is DeAngelis. its probably one of the only italian last names without a voul at the end. She's been told that it means "Of (De), the Angels (Angelis)" Can anyone confirm that for her~? She really wants to know~! Any help is appreciated~!

I have the same last name... that is correct.. that is what it means when translated

yes that is exactly what that means. . .poor people use to sit on the church steps in the old country because they had nothing.They were referred as "of the Angels"
